I come back to Center Lutheran after serving here a number of years ago as an Interim. My name is Pastor Sandy Gideon but I go by Pastor Sandy. I have been in the area for over 21 years so I am very familiar with our congregation and the surrounding area. I graduated from Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary in 1993 with my Master of Divinity degree. During seminary I focused on the small church and then did my internship at a 2-point parish in Iowa. My first call was in Cumberland, Maryland where I served as a youth pastor following which I went to Dillsburg, PA to serve a small parish. I have been at the same parish in Adamstown since 1999. I now come full circle serving 2 churches by joining back with Center Lutheran.

When I am not busy with parish ministry I spend time traveling to listen to my daughter’s music performances at college, working in the yard, caring for my mother and relaxing. But one thing I really love to do is traveling so far having visited 10 countries and much of the United states. You might also recognize my name from the Ephrata Review where I have been writing pastor columns throughout the year for almost 20 years.

I am a very down to earth person and most people would describe me as someone who is easy to talk with so please feel free to reach out to me. I believe that God’s Word has something relevant to say to us and we can learn a lot if we are willing to share who we are and what we know with one another.

Finally, I give thanks to God for allowing us to minister to one another – with the love of Christ. Believing in Christ and following Him in faith is a great and ongoing adventure. We are starting a new adventure at Center and I hope you will join us here.  Please feel free to contact me.
